Goodbye Breakfast Casserole Recipe
- Softened butter
- 14 to 15 slices of bread
- 2 c. (1/2 lb.) shredded Cheddar cheese
- 3 c. diced cooked ham or possibly sausage
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 6 Large eggs
- 3 c. lowfat milk
- 1/4 c. diced green pepper
- Spread butter on both sides of bread slices, cut bread into small cubes.
- Combine bread cubes, cheese, ham or possibly sausage, salt and pepper; stir well.
- Beat Large eggs till foamy; stir in lowfat milk.
- Add in egg mix to ham (or possibly sausage) mix, stirring well.
- Pour into a lightly greased 13x9x2 inch baking pan.
- Sprinkle green pepper on top.
- Cover and chill overnight.
- Bake, uncovered at 350 degrees for 1 hour or possibly till golden.
- Yield 10 to 12 servings.
