Apple crumble pie
- 8 small apples
- 1 - 3 oz. box vanilla pudding (cook & serve)
- 1/2 can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp allspice
- 2 tbsp lowfat margerine
- 2/3 cup graham cracker crumbs
- 1 prepared pie crust
- Thaw pie crust per instructions and set aside.
- Preheat oven to 400F.
- Core, peel and dice apples.
- Add vanilla pudding mix to apples and stir.
- Add sweetened condensed milk and stir to mix
- Add cinnamon and allspice and stir to mix.
- Place apple mixture in pie crust.
- Place pie on baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes
- Melt margerine (30 seconds in microwave) and add graham cracker crumbs.
- Stir to blend margerine and graham cracker crumbs.
- Will be moist but not soggy.
- After 10 minutes, remove pie and sprinkle graham cracker crumbs on top of the pie.
- Bake another 10 minutes at 400F.
- Remove and cool 30 minutes before serving.
