You'd Never Know It Vegetarian Chili
- 1 pkg. Morningstar Farms veggie burgers crumbles
- 2 cans chili beans (make sure labels states vegetarian)
- kidney beans will do fine
- 1 chili seasoning packet
- Chili powder
- Cumin
- Salt
- Pepper
- 1 to 1-1/2 cup water, more as needed
- Heat a small skillet to about medium.
- Add the burger crumbles and allow to heat through.
- Add chili seasoning packet/seasoning blend and a cup or so of water (read package directions first if using preblended spice).
- Allow to simmer for about 5 minutes or until the liquid is heated well.
- Empty beans into a large stockpot and begin to heat on medium.
- Add the burger-crumble mixture to the beans.
- Allow all of this to simmer for at least 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- If desired, add extra water and chili powder.
- Serve hot with rice or crackers or over pasta.
- Enjoy!
