15-Minute Marinade for Frozen Egg Yolks
- 2 Eggs
- 1 tbsp Dashi soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Shaoxing wine (or sake)
- Put the uncooked eggs in a plastic bag, chill them in the freezer, and let sit overnight.
- Remove the eggs from the freezer, defrost them in the plastic bag (for about 3 hours at room temperature), and separate the egg whites and yolks.
- Place the egg yolks in the combined ingredients, tightly cover them with plastic wrap, and marinate for about 15 minutes, flipping them over once.
- Place the egg yolks in a bowl, drizzle on some of the marinated sauce, and serve.
- Eat it in tiny bites!
- They are also delicious marinated with sashimi, such as squid or pink shrimp!
