Grandmas Potato Bake
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 3 large brown potatoes (peeled and cubed)
- 1 12 cups milk
- 1 large white onion
- 12 cup cheese
- 1 lb ground beef
- Brown the ground beef then drain, then remove from pan.
- In the same pan add oil and potato and cook on medium heat until light brown.
- Remove potato from pan.
- In the same pan add flour and onion.
- Cook on medium heat until the onion browns.
- Add the browned potato and ground beef back into the pan along with the milk.
- Cover, bake on stovetop on low to medium heat for 40 minutes or until milk has evaporated and the potatoes are tender.
- During cook time you must stir occasionaly to prevent the potatoes from sticking to the pan.
- During the last 10 minutes add the cheese and cover for the remaining time.
