Beef Steak, Chaliapin Style

  1. Sprinkle the ingredients marked with over the steak, and place in a plastic bag.
  2. Add the ingredients marked with and mix together, then seal the bag and let sit for 30 minutes.
  3. Mince the new onion.
  4. Remove the stem and seeds from the red pepper, and cut into thin slices.
  5. Coat a skillet with oil, and lightly stir-fry the red peppers.
  6. Remove and sprinkle on salt.
  7. Add 1 teaspoon of oil to the skillet, and cook the meat.
  8. Remove the meat once both sides have browned.
  9. Add the butter and the other teaspoon of oil to the frying pan, and stir-fry the minced onion.
  10. Once the onions have browned, add the ingredients, and reduce by half.
  11. Place the wasabi greens on a plate, and arrange the red peppers with them.
  12. Place the beef steaks on top, and cover with the sauce from Step 4.
