Sirloin Bacon Cheeseburgers

  1. In a bowl, combvine beef, egg, garlic, cheese, bacon, breadcrumbs, onion, Worcestershire sauce and rosemary.
  2. Divide meat into 6 portions.
  3. Form into 3/4 -inch thick patties.
  4. Make a thumb-print depression in center of each patty (to prevent rounding while they grill).
  5. Grill over medium heat on preheated, oiled grill for 5-7 minutes per side, testing doneness with a digital instant-read thermometer inserted sideways into center of eacy patty to ensure patties are cooked ot 160F.
  6. Make Ahead: The burgers can be made ahead and refrigerated for up to 1 day.
  7. Top with melted mushrooms and onions.
  8. TOPPING: Combine 1 sweet onion (such as vidalia), sliced (2cups) sliced mushrooms and 1 tablespoons olive oil.
  9. Season with salt and pepper to taste; Cook, stirring occasionally in non-stick skillet over medium heat for 10-15 minutes or until vegetables are golden and tender.
  10. Stir in 2 tablespoons steak sauce; heat through.
