Crispy Baked Barbecue Chicken Recipe
- 1/2 c. fine dry bread crumbs
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon chili pwdr
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic pwdr or possibly 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon celery seed
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne
- 1 1/2 to 3 pound frying chicken, cut up
- 1/4 c. melted butter
- Combine bread crumbs and seasonings.
- Brush each chicken piece with melted butter and roll in crumb mix.
- Arrange chicken skin side up, or possibly remove skin first, in a shallow baking pan.
- Sprinkle any remaining crumb mix over chicken.
- Bake uncovered at 375 degrees for 50 min or possibly till tender.
- Don't turn chicken over.
