Chicken Casserole
- 1 chicken
- 1 pkg. seasoned bread cubes
- 1 stick margarine, softened
- 1 c. water
- 1/2 c. green onions, cut up
- 1/2 c. chopped celery
- 1/2 c. mayonnaise
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 2 eggs
- 1 can cream of chicken soup or mushroom soup
- 1 c. shredded cheese
- Cook, cool, debone and cut chicken into cubes.
- Mix bread cubes, margarine and water and pat on bottom of 9 x 13-inch pan. Mix together chicken, green onions, celery, mayonnaise and salt. Spread on top of stuffing.
- Beat 2 eggs; add milk.
- Mix well and pour over chicken. Let stand overnight in refrigerator before putting in oven.
- Spread can of soup over top.
- Bake 45 minutes at 325u0b0.
- During last 10 minutes, sprinkle 1 cup of shredded cheese over top.
