Sausage Apple Sauerkraut Supper Recipe
- 1 pound pork sausage
- 2 tbsp. minced onion
- 1 apple, cored & sliced
- 1 (1 lb.) can sauerkraut
- 1/2 teaspoon caraway seeds
- 4 servings instant seasoned mashed potatoes
- 1/3 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
- Paprika
- Brown sausage in skillet.
- Drain; put into 1 1/2 qt casserole.
- Saute/fry onions in 2 Tbsp.
- of drippings.
- Place onions and apples on sausage.
- Cover with sauerkraut and caraway seeds.
- Spread potatoes on top; sprinkle with shredded cheese and paprika.
- Bake in 350 degree oven for 35 min or possibly till top is golden brown.
- Makes 4 servings.
