Cinnamon Apple Crisp
- 34 cup brown sugar
- 38 cup whole wheat flour
- 34 cup old fashioned oats
- 34 cup sweetened flaked coconut
- 14 cup chopped pecans
- 1 12 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 14 teaspoon ground ginger
- 6 tablespoons butter
- 4 cups chopped granny smith apples
- 12 cup sugar
- Preheat oven at 350 degrees F.
- Find a 9 or 10 inch pie plate, spray with non stick spray.
- Start with the crisp:.
- Place brown sugar, flour, oats, and coconut in a medium bowl, using your hands mix.
- Add pecans, cinnamon, and ground ginger.
- Toss gently.
- Pour melted butter evenly over the dry mixture and stir with spoon until well mixed and evenly moist.
- Filling:
- Prep apples, peel, core, and chop.
- Put in apples in another medium bowl and add 1/2 cup sugar on top and mix with spoon.
- Final assembly:.
- Pour filling into pie plate, and sprinkle crisp topping evenly over filling.
- Don't forget to lick the topping your fingers --
- Put on middle shelf of oven, bake 45 - 55 minutes.
