Mocha Brownies
- 5 sq. (5 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate
- 1/3 c. butter or margarine
- 2/3 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 4 eggs
- 1 1/4 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 1/4 c. graham cracker crumbs
- 1 c. coarsely chopped pecans or walnuts
- Coffee Glaze
- In a small heavy saucepan, melt chocolate with butter or margarine over low heat; cool.
- Combine next 3 ingredients; set aside.
- Beat eggs and sugar at medium speed until light.
- Beat in chocolate mixture and vanilla extract.
- Stir in flour mixture, cracker crumbs and nuts.
- Pour into a greased 9 x 9 x 2-inch pan. Bake in a preheated 350u0b0 oven 40 to 45 minutes.
- Glaze while hot. When cold, cut into squares using a sharp knife.
- Makes 25 brownies.
