Bishop's Bread

  1. Preheat oven to 325F.
  2. Grease a 5-1/4 " x 9-1/4" loaf pan, then line with heavy waxed paper.
  3. Into a bowl sift flour, baking powder and salt.
  4. Stir in chocolate, nuts, dates and maraschino cherries.
  5. Into a large bowl, beat eggs and sugar.
  6. Fold flour mixture into egg mixture.
  7. Pour into loaf pan, and bake for 1-1/2 hours, or until done.
  8. Cool in pan on wire rack.
