Fig Bars

  1. Cream butter and sugar.
  2. Add eggs, peel and vanilla, beat well.
  3. Stir together flour, baking powder, and salt; blend into creamed mixture.
  4. Stir in figs.
  5. Pour into greased 13x9x2 inch baking pan.
  6. Bake at 350F (180C) F for 25 minutes.
  7. Cool; cut into bars.
