Slow Cooker Chicken
- 2 12 lbs whole chickens
- poultry seasoning (season to your liking)
- 1 onion
- 2 -3 garlic cloves
- 12 cup dry red wine
- Place 3 4 inch balls of aluminum foil in bottom of slow cooker.
- Clean chicken and pat dry with paper towel.
- Rub with poultry seasoning or spices of choice.
- Place quartered onion and crushed garlic inside of chicken
- Position chicken on aluminum foil balls in slow cooker.
- Pour red wine in bottom of slow cooker and cover.
- Cook on high for 1 hour and then on low for 8-10 hours or until juices run clear and chicken is no longer pink.
- You could also use a meat thermometer.
