Cowboy Chili Steak
- 1- 1/2 pound Round Steak
- 3 Tablespoons Olive Oil
- 3 whole Potatoes, Diced
- 14 ounces, weight Diced Tomatoes
- 14 ounces, weight Chili Beans, Undrained
- 8 ounces, fluid Tomato Sauce
- 4 ounces, weight Diced Green Chilis
- 1/2 cups Water
- 1 cup Grated Cheddar Cheese
- Cut the round steak into serving size pieces (based on the number of pieces you would like to serve).
- Put the olive oil into a large skillet and heat it over medium heat.
- Add steaks and fry until brown on both sides.
- Then remove from heat.
- In a medium sized pan (use one with a cover) place fried steak, potatoes, tomatoes, chili beans, tomato sauce, green chilies and water.
- Stir until blended.
- Cover the pan and let the mixture simmer for 40 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
- Serve with some of the potato mixture on the bottom, a steak on top and covered with cheese.
