Vegetable Steak
- 1 lb sirloin steak
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon salad oil
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 2 medium tomatoes, cut in eighths
- 1 cup celery, cut in 1/4-inch slivers
- 1 green onion, chopped (include top)
- 1 tablespoon wine vinegar
- 12 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon catsup
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 2 teaspoons water
- Cut meat into 1/2" thick pieces and place in bowl.
- Mix with soy sauce, salad oil, ginger, sugar, and garlic.
- Let stand for 30 minutes.
- Heat 2 t. oil in skillet and add meat.
- Cook, stirring constantly until brown.
- Add vegetables and cook 5 minutes longer, stirring.
- Blend vinegar and remaining ingredients.
- Add to meat and cook 5 minutes longer.
