Homemade modeling clay.
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup water
- 2 tbsp cream of tartar
- 1/4 cup salt
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 food coloring (optional)
- 1 piece wax paper
- NOTE: I MADE A TRIPLE BATCH.
- Pick what color you want to mix with the ingredients, or leave plain.. Get a medium pot on the stove and mix all ingredients together over moderate heat.
- Stirring constantly.
- So i know im going to get comments as i always do on another recipe i have.
- Saying it wouldnt get hard fast enough or u added cornstarch to speed it up.
- Etc... well for this you have to be PATIENT.
- OK!DONT MAKE THIS UNLESS YOUR PATIENT AND CAN HANDLE STIRRING AND STIRRING TILL EVENTUALLY IT WILL GET HARD AND START FORMING INTO CHUNKS.
- Soon itll get very difficult to stir but u gotta keep stirring till it starts looking like dough and not wet.
- Just shiny like dough should look.
- By this time u can get your sppon and scoop it all into eachother.
- Then your going to lay out the wax paper and what i did was just dump the pan upside down on paper and itll all fall out.
- Scrape off any huge pieces from pot.
- Now your going to let it sit for a few mins only to cool and after it cools kneed it till its smooth.
- Which mine was smooth as soon as it was cooked lol.
- It was just hot.
- Now youve just made modeling clay and u need to store it when not being used into a tight storage container.
- I didnt want to use mine so i took old dried out playdoh from my kids stuff and mixed it with other same colors or tossed it.
- I cleaned out the containers and dried them.
- Added what i can fit in them.
- Then stored the rest in sandwich siplock bags air tight.
- I GOT THIS FROM MY DAUGHTERS ONLINE SCHOOL ASSIGNMENT FOR MAKING MODELING CLAY FOR CLAY POTS SHE HAS TO DO.
- THIS IS THE TYPE OF DOUGH YOU CAN HARDEN WHEN DONE MODELING INTO STUFF AND HARDEN IT.
- YOU MAY ALSO PAINT IT AFTER YOUR DONE.
- PRETTY FUN HUH.
- ENJOY.
- ILL POST THE POT WHEN WE MAKE IT LATER.
- XOXOXO TO ALL.
