Mulled Tea Punch

  1. In a teapot or small heatproof bowl, pour boiling water over tea bags; cover and let stand 5 minutes.
  2. Remove tea bags.
  3. In a large saucepan, combine cranberry juice cocktail, brown sugar, allspice, cloves and cinnamon sticks.
  4. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally.
  5. Reduce heat; simmer for 15 minutes.
  6. Remove spices.
  7. Stir in tea and wine; heat through.
  8. Serve hot in mugs.
  9. Garnish with orange slices studded with cloves if desired.
