Tomato Flatbread Recipe
- 1 (1 lb.) loaf commercial frzn white bread dough
- 1/2 c. canned pizza sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1/4 c. grated Romano cheese
- 3 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil or possibly salad oil
- Thaw frzn bread dough, then roll out to fit a greased 11x15 inch baking pan.
- With a finger, poke deep holes in dough at 1-inch intervals.
- Blend pizza sauce with garlic salt and spread proportionately over dough.
- Sprinkle the cheese over the dough and drizzle with olive or possibly salad oil.
- Let rise in a hot place about 20 min, or possibly till almost doubled.
- Bake in a 450 degree oven for 12-15 min or possibly till edges of crust are well browned.
- Cut 2x5 inch strips.
- Serve warm.
- Makes 14 pcs.
