Bamboo Shoot Shaped bread
- 40 grams Bread flour
- 10 grams Cake flour
- 5 grams Sugar
- 1 grams Yeast
- 1/2 grams Salt
- 6 grams Egg
- 24 grams Lukewarm water
- 3 grams Butter
- 2 grams Skim milk powder
- Place all the ingredients except for the butter in a bowl, and knead slightly.
- Add in the butter and knead for about 10 minutes.
- Set the dough to rise for about 40 minutes, shape it into a circle, and rest for 10 minutes.
- Divide the dough into 6 pieces.
- The portions should be a ratio of 3:1:1:1:1:1
- Create the center of the bamboo shoot using the largest piece of dough.
- To create the leaves of the bamboo shoot, shape the smaller dough pieces into 4 short triangles.
- Use the last dough piece to create a long rectangle to use as the base of the bamboo shoot.
- Wrap the triangle pieces around the central stem made in Step 3.
- Try to match the height of the triangles with the stem.
- Wrap the long rectangle shape around the base of the bamboo shoot.
- Let the bread rise a second time for about 20 minutes.
- Bake in a 200C oven for 12 minutes.
