Simmered Amberjack Kimchi
- 2 pieces Amberjack (buri) fillets
- 140 grams Kimchi (Chinese cabbage)
- 300 ml Water
- 1 tsp Chicken soup stock granules
- 1 tsp Soy sauce
- 2 tsp each Sake and mirin
- 1/2 tsp Doubanjiang (as desired)
- 1 tsp Sesame oil
- 1 Green onions (chopped)
- Put all the ingredients into a pot and turn the heat on high.
- When it starts to simmer, reduce the heat to medium, add the amberjack, and simmer for 7~8 minutes with the lid on.
- Add the kimchi and simmer for about 5~6 more minutes to let the flavors absorb.
- Lastly, add the sesame oil and stir it in.
- Transfer to a plate, garnish with green onions, and it's done!
