Queso Flameado

  1. Brown sausage in a small skillet; remove to paper towels with slotted spoon.
  2. Drain all but 1 teaspoon drippings from skillet. Add onion; cook until tender.
  3. Return sausage to skillet.
  4. Add tomatoes and picante sauce; simmer for 15 minutes, or until most of liquid is gone.
  5. In a 9-inch baking dish, arrange 2 cups of the cheese.
  6. Top with sausage mixture; cover with remaining cheese. Bake at 350u0b0 for about 10 minutes, or until cheese melts.
  7. Garnish with avocado and tomato slices.
  8. Serve immediately with warm tortillas or tortilla chips.
