Poached Figs
- 1 1/2 c. wine
- 1/4 c. brown sugar
- 1 stick cinnamon
- 12 dried figs
- Ice cream
- In 2-quart saucepan, heat wine, brown sugar, and cinnamon stick to boiling on high.
- Add dried figs.
- Reduce heat; simmer, covered, 15 minutes or until tender.
- Transfer figs to bowl.
- Increase heat to medium-high; cook until syrupy.
- Discard cinnamon.
- Serve figs and syrup with ice cream.
