Molasses Oatmeal Cookies Recipe

• 1 c. sugar
• 3/4 c. shortening
• 1 c. boiling water in that 1 teaspoon soda is dissolved
• 1 healthy pinch salt
• 2 tbsp. molasses
• 2 c. flour
• 1 c. raisins
• 2 c. oatmeal

1. Fold in order given.
2. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto cookie sheet.
3. Bake 12 min at 350 degrees.
4. These cookies will be quite soft when removed from oven, don't over bake.
5. This was my great grandmother's recipe.
