Cream Cheese Loaf

  1. Combine 3 1/2 cups flour, sugar, salt and yeast in a large bowl.
  2. Stir.
  3. Combine water, milk and butter in a small saucepan. Heat until warm.
  4. Add to the flour mix.
  5. Add cheese.
  6. Beat at low speed until blended, then beat at medium speed for 2 to 3 minutes. Mix in 1 1/2 cups of remaining flour, 1/2 cup at a time.
  7. Scrape sides while mixing.
  8. Turn dough out on a lightly floured surface. Knead until smooth (about 15 to 20 minutes).
  9. Shape into a ball. Place in a large oiled bowl, turning to bring the oiled side up. Cover with wax paper and a towel.
  10. Let rise for 30 minutes. Grease 2 loaf pans.
