Chinese Oven Fried Pork Chops Recipe
- 1 egg
- 3 tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 tbsp. dry sherry or possibly water
- 1/8 teaspoon grnd ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic pwdr
- 4 tbsp. packaged bread crumbs
- 4 lean loin pork chops, well trimmed (about 1 lb.)
- Spray a nonstick jelly roll pan with cooking spray for no fat frying.
- Beat egg, soy sauce, sherry, ginger and garlic pwdr together in a pie plate.
- Sprinkle bread crumbs on a sheet of wax paper.
- Dip the chops into the egg mix, then press into bread crumbs, coating proportionately on both sides.
- Arrange in a single layer on pan.
- Bake in a moderate (350 degree) oven for 30 min.
- Turn and bake 20 min longer, or possibly till chops are tender and show no pink.
- Don't overcook.
- Makes 4 servings at 267 calories each.
