Dinosaur Bread Stegosaurus
- 60 grams Any bread dough of your choice that has gone through its first rising
- 1 Decorations for face
- After the dough has rested, roll out with a rolling pin into a circle shape.
- Fold over the 4 sides to create a diamond shape and roll again.
- Fold in half into a triangle and press the edges together firmly.
- Make 4 vertical slits along the bottom edge with a knife.
- Use these slits to cut off a big triangle of dough to create a tail, a smaller triangle at the head and neck and the dough between the stegosaurus' legs.
- Gather the cut off dough into a ball and roll it out.
- Make an incision that just stops short of the full diameter of the circle.
- Open the circle outwards and cut out 3 triangles each side for the spikes.
- Open out the cut dough to create the back of the stegosaurus.
- Transfer to a baking tray and let it rise a second time using the oven's bread proofing function.
- When finished, begin to preheat the oven.
- Whilst the oven is heating up, try adding detail with a decoration pen or nori seaweed.
- You can find a decoration pen recipe here:.
- Put all your pieces together and bake your stegosaurus in the oven.
- You can draw on his expression afterwards if you prefer.
- I added matcha into the mix to give my stegosaurus a green color.
- Have fun coming up with your own ideas!
- Check out this gang!
