White Sugar Buttermilk Gingerbread Recipe
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. butter/butter
- 3 Large eggs
- 3 c. flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon grnd ginger
- 1/8 teaspoon grnd nutmeg
- 1 1/3 c. buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Cream sugar and butter till light, 5-7 min.
- Add in Large eggs one at a time, beating well after each.
- Stir together flour, baking pwdr, soda, ginger, nutmeg and salt.
- Add in to creamed mix alternately with buttermilk, beating after each addition.
- Pour into greased and floured 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking pan.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 min.
- Cold.
- Cut in squares.
- Garnish with whipped cream and grnd nutmeg.
- Nice with fruit also.
