Sausage Green Chili Strata(Breakfast)
- 1 lb. sausage
- 5 slices white bread
- 3 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
- 4 eggs, slightly beaten
- 2 c. milk
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
- 1 small can chopped green chillies
- Crumble sausage, cook and drain.
- Set aside.
- Lightly butter the bread and cut into cubes.
- Place half the bread cubes into bottom of greased 8-inch square pan or double recipe and use 9 x 13-inch pan.
- Sprinkle half the cheese.
- Cover with sausage.
- Add remaining bread cubes and remaining cheese.
- Combine eggs, milk and seasoning.
- Pour over bread, cheese and sausage.
- Cover with foil and refrigerate overnight.
- Before baking, drain chillies and sprinkle over.
- Bake, uncovered, at 350u0b0 for 1 hour until golden brown.
