Shrimp for Shrimp and Grits
- 2 Tablespoons Chili Powder
- 1/4 teaspoons Cayenne Pepper, Or More Or Less Depending On Your Preferred Heat Level
- 2 teaspoons Garlic Powder
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 teaspoons Black Pepper
- 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano
- 1 pound Cleaned And Deveined Shrimp
- 2 Tablespoons Cooking Oil
- 3 cups Stock
- 3/4 cups Grits
- 1/2 cups Parmesan Cheese
- 3/4 cups Shredded Mozzarella
- For the Shrimp: Mix all spices together then sprinkle over shrimp and mix around to cover evenly.
- Saute shrimp in a hot frying pan with about 2 Tablespoons of oil.
- Saute until cooked through about 7 minutes.
- Pour over grits and serve.
- For the Grits: Bring stock to boil and add grits.
- Stir well, lower heat a bit, cover and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Remove lid and stir in cheeses until they are melted.
- Serve!
