Low Carb Barbecue Sauce - My Original Patented Hot & Spicy LC BBQ
- 12 oz (336 grm). tomato paste
- 12 oz (336 grm). water
- 6 oz (168 grm). vinegar
- 10 Equal tablets (or 5 packets)
- 1 tsp (5 ml) onion powder
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) salt
- 1 pinch of cloves, cumin, other spices you might like (optional)
- 1 batch of the above ketchup recipe
- 10 more Equal tablets (mixed in a little water)
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) Tabasco (this ain t for wimps)
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) Lea & Perrins Worcestershire sauce
- 1 large clove garlic
- 1/4 tsp (1 ml) dry mustard
- 1/4 lb (.1 kg). butter
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) crushed red pepper (adds flavour and makes hotter)(optional)
- Dissolve Equal tablets in water then add remaining ingredients.
- Blend until combined.
- Combine all ingredients.
- Warm over low heat until butter is melted and ingredients are blended.
- Serve as a side at the table.
