Garlic Alfredo Sauce

  1. In a medium sized saucepan melt butter over medium heat.
  2. Once butter is warm and melted, add the garlic and saute until softened but not brown, approximately 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly.
  3. Add cream and heat until frothy 5-6 minutes.
  4. Lower heat to medium low and allow to simmer for 10-15 minutes.
  5. Sauce will thicken as it simmers.
  6. Right before serving stir in half of the Parmesan until the sauce is melted and smooth and then season with salt and pepper.
  7. Serve over the cooked pasta of your choice.
  8. Sprinkle the rest of the Parmesan on the pasta when serving.
  9. Normally I just serve this over the fresh fettucini or linguine noodles the ones you get in the cooler section of the grocery store.
  10. But it was great on the pre-made ravioli as well.
  11. Just try to forget that you put all that cream and butter in there and enjoy!
