Turnip Greens With Smoked Turkey Recipe
- 1 fully packed peck of turnip greens
- 2 smoked turkey legs
- 2 Spanish onions, sliced
- Water
- Salt & pepper to taste
- Pick over and thoroughly rinse greens.
- Rinse several times till water is clear and not gritty.
- In extra large pot, boil meat and onions to make a good broth.
- Use plenty of water to allow for evaporation.
- Add in greens, salt and pepper to taste.
- Cook for 2 to 2 1/2 hrs at a steady steam.
