Mom's Meatloaf
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 egg
- 12 cup oatmeal
- 14 cup milk
- 1 (2 ounce) package onion soup mix
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 14 cup ketchup (for glaze on loaf)
- Combine all ingredients in large bowl using your hands to ensure ingredients are fully integrated.
- Place mixture on a backing sheet and form a loaf shape (using a loafpan as a mold helps).
- Ensure loaf is uniform is size so center cooks evenly.
- Brush ketchup on all sides ensuring all the surface of the loaf is coated.
- Place in 375 degree oven for 45 minutes or until center is done.
- Let rest 5 minutes after done before slicing.
