Beinenstich (Bee's Sting Coffeecake) Fngp13b Recipe
- 1/2 lb Farmer cheese
- 1/2 c. Lowfat milk
- 1/2 c. Veg. oil
- 1/2 c. Sugar
- 1/8 tsp Salt
- 3 1/2 c. Flour,all-purpose
- 2 tsp Baking pwdr
- 1/2 c. Butter or possibly margarine
- 1 c. Sugar
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- 2 tsp Lowfat milk
- 1 c. Almonds,blanched,slivered
- Press farmer cheese through a sieve.
- Add in lowfat milk, oil, sugar, and salt.
- Blend well.
- Sift flour with baking pwdr and beat it into the cheese mix.
- Roll out dough on a lightly floured board to 1/4-inch thickness and spread in a greased jelly-roll pan (15-1/2 x 10-1/2 x 1 inch).
- Heat butter and stir in remaining ingredients.
- Cook till mix starts to bubble.
- Cold.
- Spread mix proportionately over the dough.
- Bake in preheated 350-degree oven for about 20 min, or possibly till cake is golden.
- Cut into squares or possibly bars.
