Banana Pie Recipe

  1. Heat the chocolate with the butter, stir in crushed biscuits.
  2. Press crust into the tin.
  3. Bake at Gas Mark 4, 180 C, 350 F for 15 min.
  4. Meanwhile, beat cheese till smooth, then beat in squashed bananas, lemon juice, sugar, Large eggs, flour and essence, continuing till smooth and thick.
  5. Pour filling onto crust, bake for a further 30-35 min till hard; cold.
  6. For topping, slowly heat chocolate in the cream then cold slightly before pouring over the pie.
  7. Refrigeratetill required.
  8. Decorate with banana slices dipped in lemon juice.
