Raspberry Bars Recipe

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Grease a 13 x 9-inch baking dish.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, combine flour, salt and baking soda.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar together, using an electric mixer, until fluffy.
  4. Stir in flour mixture, then oats.
  5. Mixture will be somewhat crumbly.
  6. Press 2/3 of the mixture over bottom of baking pan.
  7. Carefully spread jam evenly over crust to within 1/2-inch of edge.
  8. Distribute remaining crumb mixture over top and press lightly to form a firm crust.
  9. Bake for 20 minutes, until browned.
  10. Cool completely; cut into bars.
