Smoked Trout Spread
- 8 oz. smoked trout or herring (kippers)
- 6 oz. (3/4 of 8-oz. package) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese
- 3 medium scallions, including 3 inches of green tops, chopped
- 3 Tbsp. plain yogurt
- 2 Tbsp. lemon juice Safeway 4 ct For $5.00 thru 02/09
- 4 tsp. prepared white horseradish or freshly grated horseradish
- 24 1/2-inch slices baguette (optional)
- Cut the fish into chunks and place them in a food processor, discarding any tiny, thin bones.
- Add the cream cheese, scallions, yogurt, lemon juice and horseradish and process for 2-3 minutes, or until well blended.
- Spoon the mixture into a bowl to use as a spread.
