Green Chile sauce or Chile Verde Con Carne

  1. place meat in sauce pan with flour, fry in hot shortening until brown.
  2. Add onion, garlic, chile and water.
  3. salt to taste.
  4. Simmer for thirty minutes.
  5. if to dry add water.
  6. Canned or fresh tomatoes may be used instead of water for a different taste.
  7. ground or cubed, other meats or poultry can also be used.
  8. No meat, tofu, or vegetables can be used for a vegetarian sauce
