Pelau Recipe
- 4 c. rice
- 1 c. minced chicken breast
- 1 c. minced sirloin steak
- 1 c. minced pork steak
- 1 1/2 tbsp. salt
- 1 teaspoon curry
- 6 c. water, add in more if needed
- Dash of red pepper
- 2 tbsp. butter
- 1 tbsp. sugar
- 2 tbsp. vinegar
- 2 onions
- Dash of thyme
- 2 garlic cloves
- 2 lg. tomatoes
- 2 tbsp. raisins
- Add in sugar to meat and brown; add in 1 c. water and all seasonings.
- Cover and simmer till meat is tender.
- Add in water when necessary to prevent meat from burning.
- Add in 4 c. water.
- Add in rice and stir well.
- Add in salt.
- Cook till rice is soft.
- Stir in butter.
