Grilled Cheese & Tomato Soup Fries

  1. Make 24 sandwiches (or 2 sandwiches for trial recipe), using 2 bread slices and 2 cheese slices for each sandwich.
  2. Spread outside of each sandwich evenly with 1 Tbsp.
  3. (15 mL) butter.
  4. Refrigerate until ready to grill.
  5. For each portion, 2 servings: Grill 2 sandwiches on 350 degrees F flat-top grill 1 to 2 min.
  6. on each side or until golden brown on both sides.
  7. Meanwhile, deep fry 3 oz.
  8. (85 g) french fries as directed on package; drain.
  9. Ladle 1 cup (250 mL) hot soup into shallow bowl.
  10. Drizzle with 3 Tbsp.
  11. (45 mL) Cheez Whiz; swirl gently.
  12. Cut sandwiches into 4 (1-inch-wide) strips; stand 4 strips in centre of each bowl of soup.
  13. Stand 3 oz.
  14. (85 g) french fries around sandwich strips in each bowl; sprinkle with 1 Tbsp.
  15. (15 mL) onions.
