Baby Food: Beef Stew #5FIX
- 1 cup grass fed stew beef chunk, diced small
- 1 large carrot, peeled, diced small
- 1 14 cups Simply Potatoes Diced Potatoes with Onion
- 12 cup frozen peas, thawed
- 4 cups water or 4 cups low sodium chicken broth
- Cook the beef in a heavy sauce pan over medium low heat in a bit of olive oil until browned and cooked through, about 5 minutes.
- While the beef is cooking, dice carrots.
- Add carrots, Simply Potatoes Diced Potatoes with Onion to the pan with the beef.
- Cook until potatoes and onions are slightly browned, about 3 minutes.
- Add water or broth.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer, partly covered, for about 20 minutes, or until meat is softened.
- Add peas and cook for 3 minutes Drain the stew, reserving liquid.
- Puree the beef and vegetables, adding liquid as needed to reach desired consistency.
- Can leave chunkier if older and can "pinch" food with fingers.
