Sauerkraut Pork Chop Bake Recipe
- 1 (2 lb.) bag sauerkraut
- 8 boneless pork chops
- 1 lg. or possibly 2 med. onions (8 fairly thick slices)
- Oil for browning
- 1 pkg. brown or possibly pork gravy mix
- 1 c. water
- Put sauerkraut in 9x13 inch baking pan (dish, if using microwave).
- Brown chops quickly and place on top of sauerkraut.
- Brown onion slices and place one on each chop.
- Sprinkle gravy mix proportionately over above.
- Add in water proportionately (without totally washing gravy mix off of onion and chops).
- If using oven, cover tightly with foil and bake 1 hour at 350 degrees.
- If using microwave, cover with wrap and cook on Roast setting 17 min.
- Let stand at least 3 min.
- Serves 4.
