Chili Cheese Fries

  1. Cook fries according to package directions.
  2. Bake them if you prefer not to fry them.
  3. In a medium sauce pan, melt butter and milk; add the American cheese, salt and pepper.
  4. Keep on low heat, stirring constantly until cheese is completly melted.
  5. (If sauce is too thick, add more milk 1 tablespoon at a time, stirring until smooth.)
  6. Place cooked fries on a platter, top with chili, then shredded cheese and dollops of the sour cream.
  7. Serve warm.
