Adas Careh (Lentil Butter) Recipe

  1. Combine water, lentils, salt in a pot.
  2. Cook until lentils are soft.
  3. Drain, reserve stock.
  4. Heat oil in skillet & saute/fry onions & garlic until onions are translucent/soft.
  5. Add in parsley & spices & cook another minute.
  6. Set aside.
  7. Combine lentils, cooking water & onion mix in a food processor, adding more water a tb at a time as needed until the mix reaches a spreadable consistency.
  8. Chill a few hrs before serving.
  9. Spread on whole grain crackers or possibly use as a vegetable dip.
