Chicken And Red Rice
- 2/3 c. uncooked regular rice
- 1 c. chopped green pepper
- 1 (2.8 oz.) can Durkee French fried onions
- 4 chicken breast halves, fat trimmed and skinned if desired
- 1 (15 1/2 oz.) jar spaghetti sauce with mushrooms
- 1 1/4 c. water
- 2 1/2 c. cubed 1-inch cooked chicken
- 2 c. cooked long grain rice
- 1 c. milk
- 1 (16 oz.) pkg. frozen mixed vegetables
- 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can condensed cream of celery soup
- 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 2 tsp. soy sauce
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. chow mein noodles
- Heat oven to 350u0b0.
- In large bowl, stir together all ingredients, except chow mein noodles.
- Spoon into 13 x 9-inch baking pan.
- Bake for 30 minutes.
- Sprinkle with chow mein noodles.
- Continue baking for 15 to 20 minutes or until heated through.
- Yields 6 servings.
