Heritage Cider Pie
- 1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell
- 1 (12 ounce) can frozen apple juice concentrate, thawed
- 6 eggs
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons butter or 2 tablespoons margarine, melted
- 12 teaspoon salt
- ground nutmeg
- Bake unpricked pastry shell at 450F for 5 minutes.
- Remove from oven; reduce oven temperature to 350F Meanwhile, beat together apple concentrate, eggs, sugar, butter, and salt.
- Pour into pastry shell.
- Sprinkle with nutmeg.
- Bake at 350F till knife inserted just off center comes out clean, 35 to 40 minutes.
