Hopelessly Wilted Greens Dish
- About 2 large bunches of hopelessly wilted greens
- 4 bacon slices
- 1/4 cup French dressing
- 1/4 teaspoon celery salt
- 2 tablespoons chopped chives
- 2 tablespoons vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- Tear the wilted greens into bite-size pieces and put them on a plate.
- Saute the bacon and chop it into small bits.
- Mix the bacon with the French dressing, celery salt, chives, vinegar, and sugar and bring to a boil in the bacon skillet.
- Pour this sauce over the greens.
- Put the plate of greens with sauce on top of a bowl of hot water and warm gently for 6 minutes.
- Toss and serve.
