Donner And Blitzen Or Meringue Layers With Fruit Recipe
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 4 Large eggs, separated
- 1/3 c. butter
- 4 tbsp. lowfat milk
- 1/2 c. flour
- 1 teaspoon baking pwdr
- Healthy pinch cream of tartar
- Cake Batter: Cream 1/2 c. sugar and butter with egg yolks.
- Beat till light and fluffy.
- Add in lowfat milk, flour and baking pwdr.
- Spread in two buttered 8 inch tins.
- It will be thin layers.
- Meringue: Beat egg whites till dry.
- Add in gradually 1 c. sugar and cream of tartar.
- Spread over batter in pans.
- Bake at 350 degrees for about 20 min.
- Turn out layers.
- Alternate whipped cream, fruit, and layers.
- Enjoy!
